Question #4:

I Have Hydroxycut And Taebo...Safe?

I am 216lbs and I am 5'6 1/2... my BMI is obese (yet I dont look obese) but I really am tired of being called the big kid and fatass. My weight has been up and down, but it has mostly stayed in the 2-teens area. I want a healthy BMI, this requires me to be 156 and below. I need to lose 70lbs as fast as possible. I bought hydroxycut and I have the This Is Taebo CD. I figure combining these two should give me good results... is that true? I've read about bad things with hydroxycut, but I need this weight loss to happen.

Also, if these two together will produce the weight loss I need, will it be safe to also use SlimFast as my diet? Please help!

Question #5:

What do you think is the safest & most effective way to lose weight?

I've had a very hard time trying to lose 15 lbs for the past few years. My main problem is commitment. If I'm going to keep trying, I want to make sure I'm not waisting my efforts & that I'm choosing the ideal path to weight loss.I don't care about how much time it takes, I'm not expecting to lose it all overnight. I'd just like to know which is the safest & most effective method I should be following.

Thank you in advance for your opinions.

Question #7:

Weight loss trouble...?

What is the quickest and safest way to lose weight if you don't have access to a gym or machines? I'm already a healthy eater, but I'm a few pounds over the average weight for my height...only about 7. Thanks!

Question #8:

Am I consuming too much cholesterol?

What's a reasonable amount of cholesterol in a low-carb/high protein/moderate fat diet with lots of cardio and fitness training?

My concern is the cholesterol content in the protein I'm eating. I have about 3 eggs x 4 week (total of 12). Lean steak about 3 x week. Lean ground beef 4 x week (drained of fat). Yellow-fin tuna steaks about 6 x week. And chicken breast 3 x week. I'm male, aged 28, and weigh about 200 lbs. Also, I have no history of high cholesterol (although, this is a relatively new diet).

I'm a bit new to this, but I've designed a diet around the idea of carb-cycling (basically, alternating high, moderate, and low carb days to maximize fat loss). I'm also doing some light weight training 4 x week + 2 hours of cardio, minimum, each day (mostly brisk walking and some HIIT - interval training with some running/cycling). I also consume about 6-8 cups of green tea per day, 3 cups of steamed greens, and some fruits.

So my question is whether a healthy diet and an active lifestyle are enough to offset or reduce the negative effects of cholesterol. Overall, is this a reasonable safe approach for someone in my situation?

Cheers,

Question #9:

are hoodia weight loss pills effective and are they safe for long term use?

Question #10:

Safe Weight Loss for Children?

My son is 150 Pounds, and 5'2.5".
He wants to lose weight in time for school and wants to be 120 lbs.
He doesn't want it JUST in time for school, but at least in the first few weeks.
I want to know how much weight he can safely lose in a week.
Thanks for any information :)
He's 12 years old (Turning 13 soon?)
(I meant have lost it in a few weeks into school, not just for a few weeks of school)

Question #11:

Is it safe to go on a nutritional balanced weight loss binge for 14 days only?

I know it's only recommended to lose 2 lbs per week safely. I don't have any eating disorders, I am very conscious about what I eat and making sure I hit all nutritional daily targets in regards to caloric intake and protein/carbs/fat. I am a 25 year old male and weigh 178. Most of it is flab even though for the last month I have been toning. It is impossible to build muscle and lose weight at the same time. So I want to get down to 165-170. This will be my "lean weight.
And then go on to adding lean muscle mass from there and regaining the weight in the form of muscle. My question is...is it safe for me to aim for 4 lbs a week in weight loss until I reach my lean goal? This will include taking in an average of 1000-1200 calories daily and burning at least 300-500 calories per day via exercise. I don't want to drop dead or anything so I was just wondering. I dont want to be stick skinny just reduce my body fat percentage and I've read on numerous websites/blogs/magazines you cannot build muscle and lose fat at the same time. So again...I want to lose the weight first (still doing resistance training to keep whatever muscle I've gained thus far) and tons of cardio. My diet plan for the two weeks is a 20/60/20. 20% Protein, 60% Carbs (for energy) and 20% Fat (our bodies need fat!) PLEASE ONLY EXPERIENCED MATURE FITNESS AND NUTRITIONAL ADULTS THAT KNOW ABOUT THIS TOPIC RESPOND. NO "dumb" answers from children. Thanks!
I'm sorry I didn't mean lose fat and build muscle at the same time I meant build muscle and lose weight at the same time. Ive read several places that it isn't possible. They compared it to "standing up and sitting down at the same time"

Question #12:

18 years old and wanted to switch from the pill to Depo-Provera?

at my age do you think it is safe?.. im not worried about the bone loss density or shit like that. Im just worried it will effect my ability to have children when i want them. Ive been on BC pills for 2.5 years and im so sick of taking the pill every day,.. also when i started the pill, my breasts grew but i didn't gain much weight.. will the same thing happen with the shot? or could i gain weight also? im a very petite girl, (5' and 99 pounds)
plus i think the Pill is effecting my sex drive... which is hurting my relationship with my fiancee. But i think it is because how long ive been on the BC for? Has anyone ever had a problem with that?

Question #13:

special k or cabbage soup diet? please read?

alright so there are the two diets im leaning towards.
cabbage soup diet: you dont eat an awful lot so you lose a lot of weight during the 7 days, round about 7-10lbs. (dont even bother with your "yes but it will go bak on when you eat normal" this is a quick fix."

in the special k diet i was going to make my own rules.. 1 or 2 bowls of special k w/ semi skim milk and a piece (or 2) o' fruit for the whole day. do you think i could lose up to 5-10lbs in the first week doing this?

(i would probably be carrying this on for about 3 weeks, i want to lose 40lbs! but obviously i know i wont lose that in the three weeks. how long do you think it would take on my special k diet thing? i know this is not safe, but please this is just a quick fix and straight after i know i will put some weight back on but then i will do it proper!)

which diet would be most efficient for my weight loss needs?
(special k is much easier to do so im leaning towards that)

please do not answer if you are going to do the lecture speech, i dont care about that.. i already know the consequences.

thanks if you do answer the correct question!

Question #14:

is the lemonade diet safe and will it help me lose weight?

what is the worst health problem that could happen well your on the lemonade diet for 10 days
and is it a good weight loss program

Question #15:

can you use the atkins diet til you have lost your weight, then revert back to carbs?

over my first year at university i have put on about 2 stone in weight.
i have always been skinny through my teens, and nobody is fat in my family.
my weight gain has been due to poor diet, drinking a lot of beer and lack of excersise.
it is most noticeable around my face and my stomach. and i am sick of people i have not seen for a while commenting on my weight gain.

i've heard the atkins diet is the fastest way to loose weight
but i've heard about side effects too, so there is a few questions i would like to ask.

will the atkins diet be reasonably safe for a short period of time until i have reached my desired weight and appearance?

should i take multivitamins whilst i am on the diet? or will that affect my weight loss?

and, once i have reached my target weight, will reverting back to eating carbs throw all the weight back on?

i also plan to excersise and work out at a gym as well in a hope to gain some muscle definition as well as my weight loss.

Question #16:

How can i lose weight in the fastest and healthiest way possible?

hi guys,
Right, i am 23 years old 5"2 and 15 stone in weight, i have tried numerous weight loss programmes from weight watchers to slimming world and nothing has worked for me. I put all my weight on with being pregnant with my daughter who is now 5 and have always struggled from there. Before i was pregnant i was 9 stone and i could eat what i wanted and never put weight on!! this is why i am so frustrated about it. I am looking for any ideas or tips that could help me lose weight in the safest and quickest way possible. I want to be down to my ideal weight of 9-10 stone by next July as i am a bridesmaid at my brothers wedding.
Thanks!!!

Question #17:

Is it safe? Weight loss pills?

Im doing some research and is it safe to take colon cleansers AND a weight loss/fat burner pill?

I know it's better to go natural way to exercise but I want people who have used pills in the past to answer my questions. Thanks

Question #18:

Is this an eating disorder? Please help, trying to cut weight for judo.?

So I train at two different dojos, one is a community oriented club that's focused on the good of the individual. The other is competition oriented, and does not care about the good of the judoka as much as their value in competition. Call the first one (A) and the second one (B) for the sake of not revealing too much.

Here I should also insert that I'm fifteen years old, a green belt, and have hopes of becoming an elite competitor. Eventually. That's why I decided to start training at dojo B, they are semi-local and have a good competitve reputation, whereas A really isn't established as being competitive at all, though their instructors have been to national/ international level competitions.

Now. To get to the question- my coach (dojo B) keeps encouraging me to cut weight for tournaments. She is convinced that I am better off at 57kgs rather than 63kgs when I fight. I cut this weight once before for a tournament a while back, and had to barely eat and excercize obsessively and still barely made it. I tried to explain to her how dangerous I thought it was and she said that "I could eat and be healthy on non tournament weeks"

Now I have another competition coming up in a couple days and I decided to cut weight again to see how hard it would be, since I'm going to have to do it in threeish weeks for a major tournament. The one I'm fighting this week is local, with pretty much nothing at stake, so I figured I'd test it out. The past few days I've been taking in less than 400 calories a day, training at least 4, up to 7 hours a day, barely drinking anything, and counting calories and weight loss obsessively. Every time I eat, or do something that doesn't involve training I feel guilty about it, and I'm training so hard that I've nearly passed out two practices in a row, not to mention the fact that I never have any energy anymore. Every time I stand up from sitting or get off my training equipment my head spins and I usually have to sit back down because I feel so much like I'm going to pass out, and even small things like walking up stairs are leaving me winded, which they never were before. And I'm completely ignoring the fact that I already have a serious knee injury that's been chronic since June for the sake of my training.

My instructors at dojo B have been encouraging me to put ON weight for a while, and they just want me to have fun and stay safe. Which road is the right one to take in this case since I want to be an elite, and is this an eating disorder or just a road to cutting weight that most elite competitors travel down frequently without problem? Also, my parents know about this and support it, since they say I don't train enough, and are convinced this is healthy.
Ugh okay so when I wrote this I mixed up my abbreviations. In that last paragraph when I refer to the dojo that's encouraging me to have fun and stay healthy I meant A not B. Sorry... I was really tired when I wrote this.

Question #19:

What are some safe weight loss supplements that can be used with diet and exercise?

I'm not looking for a magic pill that miraculously makes me lose weight. I am looking for something I can take along with diet and exercising that maybe can speed up the process or produce more results. Most importantly it should be safe, but also if possible, natural. I'm looking to lose around 15-20 pounds, just some weight I gained over summer. Please let me know any good recommendations, especially if you have tried it yourself.

Question #20:

I lost 8 pounds in one week, is it normal?

I'm 15 & have been trying to lose weight forever. The only problem is that instead of me controlling my diet, my diet controlled me. I used to be a proactive health nut who snacked in front of the TV all day long, and though my goal was always that perfect 1200, I probably ended up topping 3000 a day. Last week my weight was around 142 pounds, which is considered overweight for a 5'1" height.

Then three little things changed. One, my aunt bought me a 3-pack of Trident Layers. Two, I started keeping a log of everything I eat. And third, I have stayed up til 5 am every night this week shopping online haha.

I chew around 3 - 4 pieces of gum a day, and record everything I put into my mouth. Amazingly, I have NO cravings anymore whatsoever, and I very rarely even remember to eat. My calorie count has lowered tremendously and though I haven't exercised in over a week, I've lost 1-2 pound every day without fail. I currently weigh about 134. My question is, is this safe/okay? What actions are contributing to my weight loss, and are they considered dangerous? This has never happened to me before, but it's literally seeming to be almost too good to be true.

thanks!
