Question #1:
When will I start to show weight loss? Will I look much different after 10 lbs?
I am 5'8" and 16. I'm trying to lose 10 lbs or so over the next few weeks. Currently, I weigh 135lbs, and I dance everyday for hours. I am eating around 1200 calories everyday and it's only fruits, veggies, protein, etc. How soon will I show signs of improvement? Will I look much different?@ sgisg.. well I'm sorry about other people on here who would take offense to this in some way but you could also consider the way that I feel.. which is why I asked the question. How do you think it would feel to be a dancer and have it thrown in your face everyday that you're the fattest one at the studio? It doesn't feel good either. It's not just about looks, it's about how you feel too.. and I feel like crap. Thanks.
Question #2:
5-7 small meals a day for weight loss?
On a weight loss tracking site, I read the following two sentences regarding meals and weight loss.***You should try to eat 5-7 small meals per day for the best results. By eating smaller more frequent meals, you are less likely to have snack cravings during the day. ***
Anyone who has tried this and got it to work for them, what are some sample "small" meals that you ate for those 5-7 small meals a day?
Question #3:
I am unhappy!! Please Help me!!?
I am 24 I have had to children my oldest just turned three my youngest will be 2 next month, I want to know how to get off the rest of this baby weight! I am a thick build to begin with, I am 5'2 and before kids I weighed 135 now I weigh 160 I have lost weight since the babies but I am stumped on how to loose the rest of it.... any ideas?? Real diets or weight loss tips that you have actually tried??Question #4:
If I become vegetarian, could I lose weight?
I need to lose weight. About 40lbs. actually. I'm thinking about going vegetarian. Not only to lose weight but also I just don't love meat. I never really have. The only meat I really ever eat is chicken, sea food, and sometimes steak. I hate pork, turkey, and ground beef. I don't think this transition will be too hard. Giving up dairy should be fairly easy too. I hate milk and yogurt. I do enjoy cheese and ice cream but that's about it. How can I make sure I am getting enough calcium in my diet? Protein is easy to get without meat but how do I get calcium? Anyway, vegetarian + exercise should = weight loss right? Here's a list of foods I plan to get when I go grocery shopping this weekend: bananas, peanut butter, grapes, carrots, green peppers, some sort of fiber cereal with no sugar, almonds, potatoes, black beans, herbal teas, salad veggies, dressing -sugar and animal products. What else shWhat else should I get? I want to give up sugar too. I'm dependent on it right now for energy and when I don't have any I feel lethargic and tired and cranky. I need to stop. It's going to be hard but I'm determined to take better care of myself. I'm tired of being tired, having head aches, unmotivated, etc.
Question #5:
the naked diet... lol?
A fellow was ordered to lose 75 pounds, due to VERY serious health risks. As he wondered how in the heck he would ever do it, he ran across an ad in the newspaper for a guaranteed weight loss program. "Guaranteed my ass", he thought to himself, but desperate, he calls them up and subscribes to the 3 day 10 pound weight loss program. The next day there is a knock at his door and when he answers, there stands before him a voluptous, athletic, beautiful babe dressed in nothing but a pair of running shoes and a sign around her neck. She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company.
The sign reads, "If you can catch me you can have me!"
Without a second thought he takes off after her. A few miles later, huffing and puffing, he finally catches her and has his way with her.
After they are through and she leaves, he thinks to himself, "I like the way this company does business."
The same girl shows up for the next two days and the same thing happens. On the fourth day he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost ten pounds, as promised.
So, he calls the company and orders from them their 5 day/ 20 pound program. As expected, the next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunningly beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life, wearing nothing but running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, "If you can catch me, you can have me."
He's after her in a shot. This girl is in great shape and it takes a while to catch her, but when he does, it's worth every cramp and wheeze. She is by far the best he's ever had. For the next four days, the same routine happens and much to his delight on the fifth day, he weighs himself and found he has lost another twenty pounds as promised!
He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order the 7 day/50 pound loss program. "Are you sure," asks the representative on the phone, "this is our most rigorous program..." "Absolutely," he replies. "I haven't felt this great in years!"
The next day there is a knock at the door and when he opens it he finds Richard Simmons standing there wearing nothing but pink racing spikes and a sign around his neck that reads, "If I catch you, I can have you!"

Question #7:
Has anyone lost weight on their own?
Every time someone talks about dieting, they never say they did it themselves. People seem to turn to a lot of weight loss products and programs. Should i be doing the same?Question #8:
could this be my month? what do u think? (asked earlier but not many answers)?
ok... sorry if this is really long and has a lot of TMI but i want to give all the details and get honest opinions based on all the factsmy husband and i have been ttc for over 3 years now. we have had 4 miscarriages, but no full term pregnancies. about 6 months ago i realized that i was "obsessing" about getting pregnant (i was a frequent y! visitor).. so i decided it would be best to stop "trying" for a while. well, anyone who wants a baby knows that its not easy to just STOP trying for something u want so bad! so to distract myself i decided to focus on me! i used dieting and weight loss as my distraction (i was, and still am slightly overweight) i have lost almost 30 pounds and feel great! my husband and i continued to BD but no charts and no temperatures and no OPKs!
my periods have always been normal (30 day cycles, give or take a day)
my last cycle started on January 25th. I spotted (literally JUST a spot) on feb 19th, and again the same thing in feb 26th. now for the last 3 days i have been getting REALLLLY light bleeding only with the first one or twos potty trips (no panty liner even needed! just one wipe and its done) its a light pinkish/coral color. no cramps, no bloating or other signs of AF
the only other symptoms that i am having is severe constipation (which i NEVER had before) and verrry veryyy itchy nipples (not sore at all) i have been putting lotion on 5 times a day and they still itch like crazy!
what do u guys think? i plan on testing in the morning... but just wanted to get a few outside opinions first! be honest! i can handle it! i have been thru much worse in this journey! i am really hoping for a BFP and a healthy pregnancy! thanks for reading!
took a test this morning with fmu and it was negative. still the same pinkish blood only when i wiped. very discouraged! thought this might have been the month! thanks for all ur answers! dont know if im going to continue trying... im pretty emotionally spent! good luck to all of u!
Question #9:
Is snacking all day instead of meals unhealthy? Obsessing over weight/calories?
First here are a few details about me:I am 5' 3", 105 lbs, 16, female, ex-bulimic, ex fat kid (overweight) I WANT to lose weight but I know that is unhealthy so I try not to. My problem is I don't eat meals, I just snack 8AM-2:30PM. I recently was put into an alternative schooling program so I am home nearly all day (unless I have work). I am almost never hungry but I eat anyways because if I don't I end up losing weight which I can't allow myself to do because it leads to me becoming obsessed. I use weigh myself everyday but now I will stop for a week and by the time I weigh myself again I think I have gained 10lbs+ but in reality I have actually lost a few. I don't know if I am getting the right calories because I try not to count them. On average I have been losing 5 lbs a month this year. Is there a way to eat healthy (and actual meals) without count calories/driving myself insane. Also I feel like I eat to much but in reality I must not be since I am losing or at the very least maintaining my weight. Maybe there is a medical reason for my weight loss. Right now I am not exactly worried about it because my weight is still healthy but it is getting to the point where it makes me wonder. I feel very fat but when I look in the mirror I see that I'm not fat at all.
I'm pretty sure I am not going to get obese if I am LOSING weight.
I snack on reasonably healthy foods eg: fruit, veggies, whole grain high fibre cereal and brown bread with peanut butter. OCCASSIONALLY I will have a hard boiled egg.
Question #10:
Anybody have any weight loss tips?
OK here's the dealI recently went to the doctors in order to get the combined contraceptive pill in order to regulate my periods, and was told I couldn't due to my BMI being far too high. I am now trying to loose weight not only in order to take the pill, but for the obvious other health benefits.
I'm looking for the smaller changes that people have made in their lives to help them loose weight, like switching cheese for toast as a topping for pasta.
I am a student so cutting down on alcohol isn't realistic, especially as i am not a particularly heavy drinker anyway. And please not green tea as I'm allergic :)
Anything else will be gratefully received :)

thanks everyone for responding so far... the 30 pounds was lost over the entire 6 months.. so that averages about 5lbs a month or so.

Question #13:
Weight loss question.. is my weight loss plan alright?
I used to overeat so now I only eat when I'm hungry.for breakfast i have some sort of fruit or eggs
for lunch ill have some oli and salt peanuts or some sort of fruit
then when i get home from school ill have some sort of fruit
and then ill eat whatever there is for dinner (my parents eat very healthily so ill just eat whatever they make but in a smaller amount)
i dont ever starve myself.. whenever im hungry ill have some fruit. also i try and drink at least 2 if not three bottles of water while im at school and ever more at home
i have completely cut out bread (before i was eating way too much.. 5 pieces a day)
also i have cut down on carbs in general
i have also completely cut out sweet stuff (except for the occasional SMALL cookie or half a cookie at school when my friends are offering)
i just now had a coffee and i put a lot of milk (about a cup) and 2 spoons of sugar
do you think its okay if i have this once a week? i know i should deff not do this everyday-- its just i need to stay up late tonight to do work :P
i guess in general i do not want to do any extreme diet-- because i want this to be more of a life style change
i have been doing this for two weeks today.. and havent noticed that much of a difference.
in the past though it has always taken me a while before i start to actually lose the weight.. so im hoping on my third week now ill start to see a difference-- what do you think? any personal or similar stories?
also i walk to school everyday
and take a 40 minute fast walk on saturdays and sundays
do you think i should change anything to my 'diet'?
thanks!
btw im female 17.. (if that makes a difference)
Question #14:
Any ideas what pill would be best for me?
I'm currently on yasminelle. My skin is getting bad with it and it's making me want to eat all the time which is resulting in weight gain! I'd ideally like a pill that would help with weight loss because I find, even when I'm not on the pill, I can't control my cravings coming up to that time of the month. And I suffer terribly with PMT. My mood is unbareable, the depression is horrible and I've ruined relationships because of this. Any ideas?Question #15:

Question #18:
Who has tried Master Cleanse?
ive done lots of looking around on the internet. i read a lot of stories, and looked at results. i'm pretty sure i know that the weight loss is due to severe caloric restriction. Still, i'd like to try it just to get some pounds off and jumpstart healthier eating. I gained 20lbs over the past year due to hormones from BC. i've gotten rid of the hormones, and i'm excited to try to get my weight back down to where it used to be, and to start to feel healthier.Ideas for helping my Master Cleanse:
I think i would try taking Hoodia pills to cut the hunger
I wonder if i can try using some chicken or vegetable flavoring (bouillon) to add to the Salt water wash--i think it would make it more palatable.
I want to add flaxseed to the lemonade to add some fiber, which also acts as a laxative and i think it would help clean out my colon
i think i'm only willing to try this for 7 days, instead of the 10 that most people do.
also, one more question: if i have to work in the morning, how can i get around the effects of the saltwater/laxative? i can't run to the bathroom every few minutes when i'm at work. this is possibly the only thing keeping me from wanting to attempt it.
and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD--please don't spam me with diet pill sites. seriously. i'll report you.
Question #19:
On a diet and have questions about weight loss?
Doing weight watchers. It works well. Im 43yr old male and 252lbs. Basically Ive got a serious beer gut. Weight watchers will take off about 60lbs in just a few months. Ive done it before. This time will be different though. Its been 5 years since I put the weight on from quitting smoking. My question is how can I keep from having loose skin once the weight comes off. Last time I lost this much weight I just looked like I had been sick. Is there any way to tighten up the skin in the stomach, arms and chest areas?Question #20:
